Chapter 3

Aliyah in Biblical Prophecy

When God repeats Himself and says something more than once, we want to take note, because it clearly concerns something of special importance to Him. God, in His Word, declared His intention to bring His people home from all the nations where they were scattered 64 TIMES!!!

Listed below are 6 of these Aliyah-related scriptures that highlight the end times significance of not only the Jews returning to Israel, but the role Gentiles must play.

  1. Will there be a "Great Jewish Revival" when "All Israel will be saved?"
  2. God's Word says YES and that it happens AFTER they return to the Land. For example we see in Ezekiel 36:24-26 (NKJV): “24For I will take you from amoung the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land. 25Then I will also sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. 26I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.”

  3. Will God pour out His Spirit on Israel and on all flesh?
  4. YES, and it happens in conjunction with the return of His people to their Land. We see an example in Joel 2: 28-29, 3:1: “After this I will pour out my Spirit on all humanity; then your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your old men will have dreams, and your young men will see visions. 29 I will even pour out my Spirit on the male and female slaves in those days. Yes, in those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem.

  5. Do God's plans for the earth include a worldwide spiritual awakening?
  6. YES, and it comes as a response to Aliyah! For example, in Jeremiah 33:7,9 (NKJV) we see: "7 And I will cause the captives of Judah and the captives of Israel to return and will rebuild those places as at the first." 9Then it shall be to Me a name of joy, a praise, and an honor before all nations of the earth who shall hear of all the good that I do to them; and they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and all the prosperity that I provide for it."

  7. In Ezekiel 37:1-14, the Lord takes the prophet into "the valley of dry bones" and has him pray over the dead bones. They are at first physically resurrected; then they are spiritually resurrected.
  8. We can't help being reminded of the physical restoration of the people of Israel to their Promised Land, which is to be followed by a spiritual restoration. In Ezekiel 37:12(NKJV) he says, 12"Therefore prophesy and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: "Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.'"

This is repeated again in verse 21. In fact, the whole of Ezekiel 37 is clearly about Aliyah!

  9. Does God have a role for the Gentiles (those peoples who are not Jewish) in this amazing prophetic process of Aliyah?
  10. YES! A clear example can be seen in Isaiah 49:22 (NKJV) - "Thus says the Lord GOD: 'Behold, I lift my hand in an oath to the nations and setup my standard for the peoples; they shall bring your sons in their arms, and your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders.'"

  11. Is the very return to Earth of our Messiah preceded by Aliyah? Is the return of the people of Israel to their Promised Land a pre-condition to His return?
  12. YES, we see this theme developed clearly in Jeremiah 23:3, 5-6 (NKJV): “3But I shall gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries where I have driven them and, bring them back to their folds; they shall be fruitful and increase." 5"'Behold the days are coming', says the LORD, 'that I will raise to David a Branch of righteousness; a King shall reign and prosper and execute judgement and righteousness in the earth.'" "6In his days Judah will be saved and Israel will dwell safley; now this is His name by which He will be called: THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS."
