Providing Safe Transport for the Olim
Once an individual or family has been granted their Israeli citizenship, the process of moving them can be costly and difficult. This multi-step process of moving from their current home to Israel will be a logistical challenge and possibly a dangerous one.
The Aliyah Initiative and our strategic partners will be focused on answering the following questions regarding this moving process:
-
How do the Olim get their belongings packed up and moved the thousands of miles away to Israel?
In peaceful times we can help them manage this process with relative ease; however, in war-torn countries or when antisemitic groups are forcing the Olim to literally flee overnight, moving family belongings may become almost impossible.
If time allows and the new Olim request it, we will arrange and cover costs for specialized international movers.
-
How will these Olim get out of the country where they now reside and relocate safely to Israel?
In today's peaceful Aliyah process, immigrants will typically fly on a commercial airline. However, when this trickle of 20,000-30,000 Olim per year escalates to hundreds of thousands of per month, our organization and our partners will be needing to utilize all forms of transportation, with cruise ships being the workhorse for the migration.
-
How can we safely move these 3,000-5,000 Olim who are disembarking daily off these cruise ships to the City of the Diaspora?
A high-speed rail line will be built connecting the Haifa Port to the City of the Diaspora. This new rail line will be built in conjunction with the "Connecting Israel" rail line development program launched in 2023.
